Singapore started out in 1819 as a British trading colony and has since turned itself into one of the richest nations in the world. It is located in Southeast Asia between Indonesia and Malaysia and is one of the few existing city-states of the world. As a result of Singapore's strategic location, the country has drawn in a lot of international business.
This city is also a great place to vacation. It is beautiful and provides all of the wonder and mystery of any other city in Asia, just without all the pollution, traffic, and danger that some of the neighboring cities have fallen victim to. The country is fully urbanized, but you can find small pockets of nature to enjoy in various parts of the city.
The climate of Singapore is tropical and visitors can expect warm weather during their stay. This being said, there are two monsoon seasons that travelers should be aware of. One of these seasons falls between December and March and the other season falls between June and September.
In addition to the clean air and the beautiful weather, tourists will find that getting into, out of, and around the city is extremely easy to do. The city has eight airports, lots of paved roads, and one of the best ports in the world. It also lacks the extreme traffic that a city such as Bangkok has to deal with.
Tourists looking for fine dining, magnificent shopping experiences, and happening bars and clubs to visit will not be disappointed in Singapore. This country has a rich culture and all sorts of tasty and unique foods can be found there. Not only this, but you can find all sorts of discounts on designer clothing and electronics throughout Singapore.
Those that aren't interested in food, boutiques, or bars can still enjoy many of the other wonderful activities that Singapore has to offer. Some of these activities include: shark diving, mountain biking, water skiing, and even rock climbing. There are even some forested areas set aside within the city for residents and tourists to enjoy. Within these forested areas you'll find unique wildlife to watch and to interact with.
Want to visit a beautiful, safe, and well-developed country in Asia? Why not get your passport and book a trip to Singapore?
